Costcutter shoppers hit £1000 mark!

19 July, 2017

This week, we were delighted to visit Costcutter in Greenhills, East Kilbride to inform them that their collection cans have now raised over £1000 for Kilbryde Hospice! Wow!

Shoppers at Costcutter manage to fill the collection cans weekly by donating spare coppers after paying for their shopping and have raised £1008.07 since April 2016 – a phenomenal amount in such a short space of time! It really does show you that every penny counts!

We spoke to a member of the team at Costcutter who told us that their customers – many of which are children – are so generous and are always happy to donate their spare change after paying for their shopping. We were also told that lots of their customers have a personal connection to the hospice, which is so lovely to hear within our local community.

Thank you SO MUCH to the customers and staff at Costcutter Greenhills!

Do you think your business could raise this much money with a collection can? We’d love to hear from you! Get in touch with our fundraising team on 01355 202020 or fundraising@kilbrydehospice.org.uk and we’d be delighted to drop off a collection can to you 🙂 Or, if you’d like to collect from home, we have home money boxes which are a perfect size for your work top or desk!
