Great Get Together raises £500

26 June, 2017
Over the weekend of Friday 16th to Sunday 18th June, the Jo Cox Foundation encouraged communities to hold a ‘Great Get Together’ – the chance to bring communities together to celebrate what we have in common. The events would all have cross party backing, completely outside of party politics.
We were delighted when Councillor Fiona Dryburgh got in touch to let us know that she would be hosting a Great Get Together in East Kilbride, and that Kilbryde Hospice had been chosen to benefit from the funds raised!
The event was held in the Calderwood Community Hall and had a fantastic turn out from our local community – thank you so much to Fiona and to everybody who contributed to the event. There was some fabulous home baking and brilliant raffle prizes, and the amazing total raised was £500!
