Sunflower Walk success!

13 June, 2017

We would like to say a HUGE thank you to everybody who took part in and contributed to our recent Sunflower Walk at the James Hamilton Heritage Park last week – what an amazing turn out we had with around 500 local school children on the day!

We would like to say a huge thank you to the staff, pupils and helpers from Greenhills Primary School, Hunter Primary School, Maxwellton Primary School, St… Charles Primary School, St Hilary’s Primary School and St Louise Primary School who all came along on the day and completed their sponsored laps of the Heritage Loch.

We would also like to thank everybody who contributed to the event, from helping us with organisation to donating drinks, snacks and transport for the children: the staff at James Hamilton Heritage Park, South Lanarkshire Leisure, Blantyre Volunteer Group, Joe Brannan Minibus & Coach Hire, Filshill, AG Barr, Coca Cola East Kilbride, Tunnock’s, Lightbody’s of Hamilton and Gibb Craft Ltd.

We would also like to say a big thanks to John and Elaine from Therapy Ponies Scotland who brought along the beautiful Apple Jack and Flicker who encouraged all of our participants and provided a lovely treat at the finishing line!

Thank you so much everybody – what a brilliant day we had, and the sun even made an appearance for us all!
