The Kilbryde Hospice salon officially opens!

6 April, 2017

We are delighted to announce that our salon has officially opened!

On Wednesday 5th April, Anne and Taylor Ferguson of Taylor Ferguson Hairdressers visited Kilbryde Hospice to cut the ribbon and officially open our salon. Anne and Taylor have very kindly sponsored our salon – they have provided us with all the furniture and equipment that we need, as well as their ongoing support.

By providing them with an uplifting experience, our salon will allow our patients to feel good at a difficult time. As our service expands, we hope to be able to provide wig services and scarf tying services in addition to hair styling, cutting and head massage.

We are so grateful for the support from local artist Robert Miller, who has provided us with some amazing artwork for our salon. Robert has painted some great pieces – including of the SSE Hydro and surrounding area, the Duke of Wellington statue (complete with traffic cone!), Hamilton Palace and a fantastic family portrait of the Broons. We think these will be fantastic talking points for those visiting the salon, and we hope that they will bring back lots of memories for our patients and clients!
