Drop in

Drop In aims to support anyone with a life –limiting illness, their carers and relatives.

We offer open sessions Monday to Friday 1000-1600. You don’t need to be referred by your doctor or a health care professional. You don’t even need to let us know in advance. All you need to do is Drop In during these hours. You will be given a warm welcome by our experienced staff and volunteers. If you require further support then we will discuss with you how we can support you and your carer. People attending Drop In are welcome to make use of the Kilbryde Kafe during their visit.

Kilbryde Kafe

Kilbryde Kafe is open Monday to Friday 1000-1530. Why not pop in for a delicious bite to eat and top it off with a slice of cake.

Our Kafe is in our Drop In area and you will be greeted with a warm welcome by our experienced staff and volunteers.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi involves gently generating and feeling the energy through movement. The slow, controlled nature of the practice means the entire body is worked safely and effectively. Tai chi is also very much a mindful activity which helps with attention, focus, and memory as well as having a wonderful calming effect on our often very over active minds!

Quiet Time

The Chaplaincy Team, hold a ‘Quiet Time’ on a Wednesday at 1115 and a Thursday at 1315 in the Sanctuary on the first floor of the Hospice.

This is facilitated by a member of the chaplaincy team and will give a short ‘thought for the day’, followed by a short time of music where you can reflect on the ‘thought of the day’ before we close the session.

Many participants like to chat following this session with each other, and we allocate time for this interaction.

All are welcome to join us at these sessions any week.
