Our music therapist is based at the hospice, however, on occasions is able to provide sessions at home. No musical experience is necessary to take part in a music therapy session.
As well as using traditional acoustic instruments, the music therapist is able to provide electronic instruments, some of which need very little pressure or movement to play thus makes music more accessible for our patients. Digital equipment has been used to record songs and music that patients have written or improvised.
