There are dozens of challenges to try, from sponsored walks to long-distance cycle rides – in Britain and as far as the tropics of Africa. With so many events out there, it’s difficult to know where to start.
Here is a list of some challenges you could take on;
Could you be a part of Team Kilbryde in the 2019 Kiltwalk? Charities receive 140% of what you raise meaning ever y penny (plus 40%) will come straight to Kilbryde!
The 2019 Glasgow event takes place on Sunday 28th April 2019, and you can choose to take part in ‘The Mighty Stride’ (23 miles), ‘The Big Stroll’ (14 miles) or ‘The Wee Wander’ (6 miles) – there really is an event for everyone!

Thinking of taking part? We’d love to hear from you, and we can, of course, provide you with a lovely Kilbryde Hospice t-shirt to wear on the day!
Run a Marathon
There are various marathons that take place across Scotland each year including the Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run, and Edinburgh Half Marathon.
Charity Fun Run
This is a fun way to raise money without jumping in at the marathon deep-end. A 3k or 5k fun run is the perfect distance for novice runners and you never know, you might find yourself loving the fun run so much that you are inspired to run a full marathon.

Make a splash and take part in a sponsored swim, which can be done in an indoor pool, or if you are really up for a challenge, an open water swim. Not only is swimming a great fundraising challenge, it is also the perfect way to recover from any injuries as well as reducing stress levels.
What’s not to love about a long distance charity cycle ride? It helps you get fitter and can be done relatively cheaply all over the world! The miles you cover are also a great excuse to get a friend involved in the challenge which means you won’t get bored on the long rides.
