Volunteering at Kilbryde
find out more…
Kilbryde Hospice is lucky to have an invaluable team of 200+ volunteers without whom we would not be able to provide the services that we do. We are often told that volunteering is a way of giving something back. The time and energy you give as a volunteer will make a huge difference to our patients and their families; you will be supporting people at a critical time in their lives.
Whether you can offer us a few hours a week or a few days, you can help us to make a difference. For some roles we ask you for a regular commitment but other roles support us on an informal basis. You can help us in many different ways and in a variety of roles. You can support us in the hospice providing patient support. Other roles include facilities management, assisting in our retail shops, the Kilbryde Kafe or supporting our busy fundraising team to raise the much needed funds to run the Hospice.
Here is what some of our current volunteers recently had to say about their experience:
Alex supports our Volunteer Recruitment Team and says, ‘Monday mornings are so much more worthwhile knowing I am doing something positive for the local community.’ (January 2018)
