Corporate Services Manager
Kilbryde Hospice is committed to providing compassionate and high-quality care to patients and families. As Lanarkshire’s leading hospice, we strive to be innovative, collaborative, and sustainable. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Corporate Services Manager to oversee key operational, financial, and administrative functions.
The Corporate Services Manager will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to ensure the effective management of hospice services, including facilities, operations, project management, and strategic projects. This role is pivotal to ensuring the smooth functioning of the hospice, supporting our clinical and non-clinical teams, and aligning operational activities with our mission and goals.
1. Strategic Leadership
· Work collaboratively with the Chief Executive, Board of Trustees, and other stakeholders to define and achieve organisational goals.
· Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across departments meeting the Hospice Strategic plan.
· Lead capital and sustainability initiatives, including energy efficiency projects
2. Facilities and Operations
· Manage all aspects of facilities, including maintenance, procurement, and compliance with health and safety standards.
· Ensure timely completion of audits (e.g., HAI and self-assurance) and implement necessary improvements.
· Manage relationships with contractors.
3. Project Management
· Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of capital and strategic projects, such as digital archiving.
· Oversee the rollout of projects such as the implementation of new CRM and patient data systems.
· Monitor progress and provide regular updates to CEO, Board of Trustees and stakeholders.
· Liaise with external partners and vendors to ensure project success.
4. Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
· Enhance the hospice’s profile across Lanarkshire through targeted communication and relationship-building efforts.
· Represent Kilbryde Hospice in meetings with external organisations, ensuring alignment with charitable goals.
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with volunteers, corporate partners, and other stakeholders.
Education and Qualifications
· You must have a degree qualification, or demonstrable equivalent experience, and relevant continuing professional development
· Relevant management or leadership qualifications (desirable).
Experience and Knowledge
· Extensive management experience, ideally within health and social care or hospice sectors.
· Proven track record in managing budgets and cost analysis.
· Demonstrated expertise in people management and organisational leadership.
· Experience with operational systems, including CRM implementation and digital transformation projects
Skills and Abilities
· Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and negotiation skills.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proposal writing.
· Ability to plan and manage multiple projects, prioritise effectively and organise complex workloads in order to meet shifting deadlines and specific targets, ensuring quality output.
· Proficiency in IT systems and software, including Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.

Additional Information
· Working hours are typically 9 am to 5 pm, but flexibility may be required during certain periods.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF ALL EMPLOYEES
· Have a good understanding and comply with relevant Kilbryde Hospice Policies and Procedures at all times.
· Kilbryde Hospice is committed to encouraging volunteering throughout the organisation and as such the post holder will be expected to support and work effectively with volunteers.
· All staff are required to comply with the obligation of confidentiality relating to personal information that could identify individuals. The Data Protection Act 1974/1998 and GDPR (2018) safeguards the handling of information held in both electronic and manual filing systems and it is the duty of all staff employed by Kilbryde Hospice to uphold the principles of the Act.
· All employees of Kilbryde Hospice must be aware of infection prevention and control policies and are expected to follow them at all times. Any breach of infection control policies which places patients, visitors or colleagues at risk may result in disciplinary action.
· The post holder is required to familiarise him/herself with and comply with the Kilbryde Hospice Health & Safety policies.
· The post holder must at all times carry out duties and responsibilities with regard to the Kilbryde Hospice Code of Conduct.
· Kilbryde Hospice operates a strict non-smoking policy in the hospice or Hairmyres hospital grounds as well as in or around any other Kilbryde hospice properties – including the vehicles.
· The post-holder must at all times carry out his/her responsibilities in line with Kilbryde Hospice Dignity at Work and Equality, Inclusion & Diversity Policies.
