We were delighted to welcome Scotland’s First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, to Kilbryde Hospice this morning to officially open the Tony McGuinness Day Services unit.

The First Minister met with many of our patients, volunteers, staff and directors and took part in a tour around our fantastic facility before cutting the ribbon to officially open our Day Services unit. Nicola joined hospice director, Gretta McGuinness in cutting the ribbon at the entrance of Kilbryde Hospice.

Following her tour, First Minister Nicola said “Bricks and mortar make the building, but it’s the staff and volunteers and what you do in it that make it count. The services here are wonderful – thoughtful and people centred. Thank you for showing me around.”
