Kilbryde Hospice would like to say a huge thank you to NXP Semiconductors (formerly Freescale Semiconductors) for the recent support that they have extended to us.
In October 2015, NXP very kindly donated an iPad for use in our Day Services unit. The iPad will now allow us to support patients in numerous ways, including the use of Skype (allowing for patients to communicate with distant relatives as well as the potential to provide a service to discharged patients) and the ability for those with poor manual dexterity to express themselves, explore their feelings and tell their stories through a digital means. In addition, the iPad can be used by staff to evaluate services electronically and more efficiently.
Furthermore, NXP Semiconductors charity team members Claire and Jill visited Kilbryde Hospice last week to have a tour of our facility whilst dropping off a cheque for an incredible £3,000!
Pictured are Claire and Jill (centre) presenting our Clinical Services Manager, Margaret Mary Cowan and our Chairman, Dennis Gallagher with the cheque.
Thank you so much to NXP Semiconductors for your continued support.
