Kilbryde Hospice is calling all Kilbryde supporters to help them become the selected charity partner for Sainsbury’s Olympia.
Over the past six years, Sainsbury’s stores have selected a Local Charity of the Year to partner with. This year Kilbryde Hospice was nominated as one of the potential local charities to receive support from Sainsbury’s. During June the public will have the opportunity to vote for their chosen charity and the charity with the most votes will be supported by Sainsbury’s over the next 12 months through fundraising and volunteering.
Chloe Martin, Fundraiser from Kilbryde Hospice said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted as one of the nominated charities by Sainsbury’s Olympia. This year has been a fantastic year as we moved in to the new hospice premises on the grounds of Hairmyres Hospital and we hope to realise our dream of opening our 12 bedded in-patient facility in the near future. If Kilbryde Hospice was chosen as the local charity it would make such a difference to us to have the support of our local Sainsbury’s. ”
Kilbryde Hospice is South Lanarkshire’s first hospice based in the grounds of Hairmyres Hospital. They offer care and support to those affected by life limiting illnesses including the carers and families. The public can vote for their chosen charity by visiting Sainsbury’s in the Olympia Arcade or by voting online at www.sainsburyslocalcharity.co.uk.
Voting opens on the 16th June 2015.
