Christmas can be a wonderful time of year, but it can also be a difficult time too. Particularly for those who are grieving; memories of loved ones can be stronger and their absence might be felt more deeply. It is our hope that through our Light a Light event we can offer some comfort to families this Christmas, at a time when they may need it most.
Between October and December we invite the community to remember a loved one at this poignant time of year, and Light a Light by donating to Kilbryde Hospice. Anyone who has lost someone close to them is welcome to join us on the day; you don’t have to have experienced the hospice’s care.
The money we raise from our Lights a Light campaign will enable us to be there for those who need our help and support this Christmas. Our Light a Light service will be a truly special event. Each light on the tree represents a loving memory of someone who will not be with us this Christmas.
To light a light on the Kilbryde Hospice Christmas tree, simply fill in the dedication form with the names of whom you wish to dedicate you light to. Fill in your donation form and contact details and return the form to Kilbryde Hospice by Monday 12 December 2016 or donate online by visiting our Light a Light page.
For each light you dedicate, we will send you a Light A Light Christmas Card inscribed with the name of your loved one and with space to add your own special message should you wish. You also have the choice of your dedication(s) being added onto the Light a Light Christmas tree in Kilbryde Hospice.
We will be hosting a lighting ceremony at the new hospice for our Tree of Remembrance before Christmas, and would love if you were able to join us. Details of the ceremony will be sent to you along with your Light A Light Christmas Card.
