The Kilbryde Community Choir is open to all and is led by our Music Therapist. The aim of the choir is to encourage and develop changes in breathing, confidence, and general health and to develop vocal and breathing techniques. It is also a great way to meet new people, socialise and enjoy yourself! Following a comprehensive warm-up (including useful & simple breathing techniques) the choir sings a selection of pop, world, and folk songs.
Our choir leader has additional training from Asthma + Lung UK (Singing for Lung Health) and Sing to Beat Parkinson’s. The choir is also included on the Luminate Scotland “Dementia Inclusive” choir map (https://singing.luminatescotland.org/choir-information/kilbryde-hospice-community-choir/)
The Choir is held every Wednesday from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at the hospice; there is no need to book.
