Hospice Care Week 2020

Today marks the start of Hospice Care Week 2020 & we will be recognising #whatittakes to provide Hospice Care throughout this week 💙 whether you’re a volunteer, an individual or a family – join us from 5th–11th October 2020 and play your part in showing what it takes to give people and their families the care they need and deserve at the end of life.

We know that it takes 2,000 dedicated staff, 254 hospice beds, 61,400 home visits, 8,000 volunteers, 997,000 volunteering hours equating to £7.8M worth of volunteer work, £87 million a year and much more for hospices to provide palliative and end of life care in Scotland.

Hospice Care Week is a chance to recognise that this is what it takes to provide quality palliative and end of life care.
