Andy Cameron Classic Golf Day raised over £20,000!

24 May, 2016

Local charity Kilbryde Hospice held their annual Andy Cameron Classic Golf Day at Cathkin Braes Golf Course on Friday 20 May 2016. The golf day has been the longest running event for the hospice and this year raised over £20,000!

All of the 96 golfers who attended had a fantastic day with the weather coming through proving a beautiful day to enjoy a game of golf. The golfers played 18 holes of golf, followed by a two course lunch, prize giving, auction and raffle hosted by Andy Cameron.

This year a team from City Holdings Ltd claimed the trophy.

Chloe Martin, Community and Events Fundraiser at Kilbryde Hospice said “We would like to express our thanks to everyone who made our Golf Day a massive success. Special thanks to Andy Cameron for being such a fantastic host, and of course to our sponsors Prospect Healthcare. Thanks to all involved we managed to raise an amazing £20,750 of much needed funds for Kilbryde Hospice!”

This year is an exciting year for the hospice as they work towards opening their 12 bed inpatient facility after recently receiving their Health Improvement Scotland accreditation certificate. Once fully operational the hospice will be providing specialist palliative care and support to those in Lanarkshire affected by a life limiting illness.
