Annual ‘McKinnon Masters’ raises £2,300 for Kilbryde Hospice

30 September, 2016

East Kilbride garage, McKinnon’s Auto & Tyres, have once again shown their support for Kilbryde Hospice and the people of Lanarkshire by raising a phenomenal £2,300 for us at their annual McKinnon Masters golf championship!

The McKinnon Masters is an annual event held by McKinnon & Forbes and has raised thousands of pounds for various charities over the years. This year’s event, held at Haggs Castle with the support of club professional Campbell Elliott, was well attended and supported by local companies including Ferrari Packaging and Subcool Air Conditioning as well as local ex professional footballers Ally McCoist and Robert McKinnon, who is also a Director at McKinnon & Forbes. The family run business managed to raise a fantastic £4,100 on the day, allowing them to support both St Margaret’s Hospice and REACH Lanarkshire as well as Kilbryde Hospice.

Directors at McKinnon & Forbes and brothers Steven and Robert McKinnon, along with sister Anne, first decided to support Kilbryde Hospice following their late mum, Kate’s desire to volunteer at Kilbryde Hospice. The fantastic sum raised at the golf event compliments a range of continuous support provided to Kilbryde Hospice by the family run business; the garage provide ongoing maintenance for our vehicles, allowing us to provide patient transport throughout Lanarkshire and Steven recently personally raised £2,000 running the Glasgow Men’s 10k.

In continuing their support for the charity close to their hearts, McKinnon’s Auto & Tyres offer a loyalty card scheme in partnership with Kilbryde Hospice! McKinnon’s will donate 10% of the customer’s fee to the hospice at no extra charge to the customer when quoted ‘Kilbryde Hospice’. You can pick up a loyalty card from McKinnon’s Auto & Tyres or from reception at Kilbryde Hospice. Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to the 2016 McKinnon Masters!
