8 November, 2018

Kilbryde Hospice is celebrating following the success of its annual Autumn Ball after the event raised a fantastic £51,702 on the night. This is our biggest total to date!

The evening held at Holiday Inn East Kilbride was hosted by Cat Harvey and featured performances from the Phoenix Flame Cheerleaders, Gordon McHugh, Rayanne McHugh and Col and the Gang with around 220 guests in attendance.

This year the hospice decided our ball would have a ‘Masquerade’ theme. The Blue Parrot Company kindly provided all the décor for the event.

The money was raised through a variety of activities, including ticket sales, donations, a raffle, and an auction. The auction featured amazing prizes donated by, – Delfont Mackintosh Theatres, MG Dance Club, Milne Management, Lynnet Leisure, City Refrigeration Holdings Ltd, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Doubletree Hilton Glasgow , Charlotte Tilbury Glasgow, Cruise Glasgow, Special Days Cakes and Robert Miller.

The raffle also featured amazing prizes donated by, Goldsmiths, The Radstone Hotel, Strathaven Hotel, East Kilbride Golf Club, Rangers Charity Foundation , Distinction Beauty , The Stand Comedy Club, Rotunda Comedy Club , Tennet’s Brewery, Holiday Inn East Kilbride, Chippy Doon the Lane, The Burnside Hotel, 29 Glasgow, Experience Days , Kings & Theatre Royal , Slaters Menswear Glasgow and Treasure Hunt The Village.

Kilbryde Hospice provides palliative care and support to patients and families of patients with life limiting illnesses such as Cancer, Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson and Multiple Sclerosis. The hospice currently provides in-patient care, day services, care at home and counselling services.

Lesley Wiggins, Fundraising Manager, at the hospice, said, “Thank you so much to everyone who either attended our Masquerade Ball, helped to sell tables, donated prizes for the table raffle and auction. We really wouldn’t be able to continue to offer the care and support we do without the generosity of such wonderful caring people.

We would also like to express our thanks to JH Civil Engineering Ltd for sponsoring the evening, the Blue Parrot Company for sponsoring the room decor and Alexander Fraser Photography for their continued support.”
