๐ŸŒŸ Celebrating 6 Years of Compassionate Care at Our In-Patient Unit and a Decade of Exceptional Service! ๐ŸŒŸ

20 August, 2024

On Sunday 18th August, we proudly celebrate the 6th anniversary of our Donna Mortimer Ballantyne In-Patient Unit and a decade of offering exceptional care to our community from our purpose-built facility in East Kilbride. ๐ŸŽ‰

Since opening our doors on August 18, 2018, our In-Patient Unit has been a beacon of hope for hundreds of patients and their families. Over the past six years, we’ve provided round-the-clock care, comfort, and dignity to those facing life-limiting illnessesโ€”always with the highest standard of compassion.

But our story goes back even further. Founded in 2001, Kilbryde Hospice has spent over a decade delivering dedicated Day and Community services from our hospice in East Kilbride after moving from our former home at the Red Deer Centre in 2015. We’ve grown alongside our community, becoming an essential part of South Lanarkshire, offering not just medical support but also emotional and spiritual care.

None of this would be possible without the dedication of our amazing team! ๐Ÿ’™ With around 100 staff members and over 200 volunteers, all committed to our mission, weโ€™re able to create a nurturing environment where our patients and their families feel truly cared for.

As we celebrate this incredible milestone, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported us along the wayโ€”our staff, volunteers, trustees, and the entire South Lanarkshire community. Your unwavering dedication and support have made our journey possible, and we look forward to continuing to provide compassionate care every step of the way.

Thank you for being part of the Kilbryde Hospice family. Here’s to many more years of making a difference together! ๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿ’›
