We would like to thank everyone at Co-op Distribution Centre, Newhouse, who raised an incredible £9,500 for Kilbryde Hospice!
Chief Executive Officer, Gordon McHugh said;
“It was an honour to visit the Co-op Distribution Centre on Monday 20 January and be presented with a cheque for just under £10,000 from all their fundraising activities. The staff at the CDC are also supported by the Management Team to volunteer within our retail stores. This not only help us keep our costs down but adds a unique and special atmosphere to the retail shops they all give their support to.
Without people’s tireless fundraising and kind generosity, we wouldn’t be able to continue to provide the care for which we are now so well known for. My thanks to all the team for caring. “
The staff also held a family and friends open day which members of our Fundraising Team were delighted to be invited along too. The day was a wonderful celebration of community spirit with many local external vendors in attendance, families of all ages, and various local good causes. The staff even treated visitors to a tour of the distribution centre!
