Fundraiser in memory of Jackie McCool raises £5000

26 June, 2017
What amazing supporters we have – we would like to say a massive thank you to the friends and family of Jackie McCool who have raised a phenomenal £5000 in her memory at a recent fundraising event that they organised.
The event was held on Friday 16th June at the Blantyre Miners Welfare in memory of Jackie, who died on 1st October 2016 after her 5-year battle with breast cancer.
The event was organised by Jackie’s husband Andrew McCool, her mum Bridie Cropp and her sister Brenda Jeffrey. Bridie told us that it really was a wonderful night of fun and music, with plenty of fabulous raffle prizes which were all donated by friends and local businesses. Some of the funds were raised by sponsorship too, and we are so grateful to everybody who contributed to and attended the event.
We would also like to extend our thanks to Jackie and Andrew’s two lovely daughters, Lauren (11) and Rachel (8), who were a fantastic help on the night and hosted the raffle!
Thank you so much to everybody involved.
