Maureen’s stall reaches £50,000 mark!

27 November, 2018

A HUGE thank you to one of our amazing volunteers Maureen Fitzpatrick, who runs a weekly knitting stall – affectionately known as ‘Maureen’s Stall’ in Hairmyres Hospital.

She has raised over £50,000!

This is a remarkable achievement, a milestone that needed to be celebrated.

Maureen has been involved with the hospice for a number of years and has worked tirelessly to raise such an amazing amount.

Maureen, with the help of her friend Myra, runs a knitting stall in Hairmyres Hospital atrium every Tuesday from 10.00am until 3.00pm with all the proceeds going to Kilbryde Hospice.

Hospice Director, Lady Susan presented Maureen with a bouquet of flowers and an engraved plaque as a small token of appreciation for Maureen’s phenomenal fundraising efforts over the years.

Maureen would also like to say a huge thank you to fellow stall volunteer – Myra and to everybody who contributes to the stall – to everybody who donates knitting and materials such as balls of wool, and of course to everybody who buys from the stall.

From everyone at Kilbryde Hospice thank you Maureen – what an amazing achievement!
