Morrisons Foundation donate £18,000 to Kilbryde Hospice

8 January, 2018

Kilbryde Hospice were delighted to welcome an £18,000 grant from the Morrisons Foundation and Morrisons Stewartfield to be used for the development of a sensory garden on the grounds of the hospice. A sensory garden will provide a wide range of benefits to users of Kilbryde Hospice services and the donation from the Morrisons Foundation will provide a huge boost in allowing them to do this.

Gordon McHugh, Kilbryde Hospice Chief Executive commented “Kilbryde Hospice are incredibly grateful for the £18,000 grant offered by the Morrisons Foundation for the provision of a sensory garden for our patients and their families to enjoy. The grant will go towards the redesign of our gardens to provide a safe, therapeutic place for patients and visitors to spend quality time, whilst benefiting from the stimulation and exploration of their senses. The development of a sensory garden at the hospice will offer a pleasant experience and provide welcome comfort when patients and their loved ones need it most.”

Kilbryde Hospice provides care and support to people in Lanarkshire with life limiting illnesses, and extends this support to their carers and loved ones too. For further information, please contact Kilbryde Hospice on 01355 202020 or info@kilbrydehospice.org.uk.
