Patients and their loved ones enjoy Cream Tea

7 July, 2017

A few weeks ago, our patients and their loved ones enjoyed a cream tea at Kilbryde Hospice which was an opportunity for them to get some information on our services and spend some time together. We are so grateful to the local companies who supported our event – The Blue Parrot Company, Loupin Stane and Hector’s Deli.

The aim of the cream tea was to introduce new and existing patients to our service, and to allow their families to experience the activities that they take part in. They were able to sample complementary therapies, relaxation classes, mind stimulation and meet our staff team. All of these things allow family members to fully appreciate the benefits that their loved ones experience at Kilbryde Hospice!

We were delighted that our patients were given a sense of pride, sharing with their family a place that means so much to them. Many of our patients also felt more comfortable sharing how they felt about our service when their relatives and carers were present.

We asked some of our patients, their carers and their loved ones to describe their day to us, and we got some lovely comments! –

“Very friendly & relaxing atmosphere.”
“Thanks for the lovely food and care. Same again next week!”
