Registration Joy for Kilbryde Hospice!

27 April, 2016
Kilbryde Hospice has reached another major milestone in the last week by securing their initial Certificate of Registration from Healthcare Improvement Scotland. Clinical Services Manager Margaret Mary Cowan said “This has been a long awaited decision since our application was submitted in July 2015. This Certificate assures that Kilbryde Hospice provides high quality care both at home and in our hospice building and that we are being regulated. This is of vital importance to our fundraisers and commissioners.”
Hospice Director Dr John Richards stated “This achievement has been as a result of the work of many Kilbryde Hospice staff and volunteers over many months. The Kilbryde Hospice’s Clinical Governance Group are delighted with the news and we can now progress with best practice in meeting the standards set out by the inspection body. This also gives us greater credibility as we progress our discussions with NHS Lanarkshire and South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership in relation to the future service profile of palliative care across South Lanarkshire.”
