Stefano ‘steps up’ for Kilbryde!

20 July, 2019

We are delighted to announce that one of our magnificent supporters, Stefano Kelly, is taking part in ‘Step Up For Charity’ and has kindly chosen to support Kilbryde Hospice by picking us as his charity of choice!

Step Up for Charity is a Glasgow based charity event where 9 amateur dancers are paired with 9 amazing professionals who are ready to take to the dancefloor and raise money and awareness for their chosen charity.
In June 2017, Stefano’s mother, Patricia, was cared for in Hairmyres Hospital, before sadly losing her life to pneumonia. Stefano stated “my mother received the most amazing care from Hairmyres Hospital and I really want to give back and help raise vital funds for Kilbryde Hospice”. Patricia was a tough lady who fought and won a cancer battle three times!

After Stefano met with our Fundraising and Commercial Manager, Lesley Wiggins, he said “one day we all may need the services of Kilbryde Hospice, and I would love to raise money in my mother’s honour”.
Stefano is delighted to be taking part in this year’s charity event – here he is pictured with his professional partner, Cheryl Wright.
