Student Nurse Testimonial

31 August, 2022

Student Nurses gave the following testimonial from their time at Kilbryde Hospice.

Carrie Grant:
“Having never been in a hospice I was unsure of what to expect but I have loved every minute of it. Every member of staff & all the volunteers have been open and welcoming. I have loved getting to know all the patients & their families and it has been a privilege to help care for them. I have learned loads from this placement & always felt part of the team. I feel lucky to have had the chance to work here for 10 weeks!”

Bronagh Doherty:
“I was quite apprehensive to begin my placement in the Hospice however this apprehension quickly disappeared. Over the last 10 weeks I have had many challenges but even more rewarding experiences and have been supported by all the staff along the way. I have learnt so much and it was great working alongside such a compassionate team. I have loved every minute of caring for patients & their families.
