We were delighted to receive an amazing donation of ยฃ4,560 from โTeam Maggieโ. The funds were raised in memory of Maggie, who used the hospice services earlier in the year. Team Maggie completed this yearโs challenging Tough Mudder event and asked friends and family to sponsor them to do so.
Gerard Kennedy (Maggieโs Dad), Karen Ferguson (Maggieโs daughter), Lauren Ferguson (Maggieโs daughter) and Maureen Kennedy (Maggieโs Mum).
Team Maggie, formed of Maggieโs children Lauren Ferguson, Karen Ferguson and Ross Ferguson along with her grandson Jack Ferguson โ who took part in the childrenโs event โ and nephew Joseph Kennedy, took on the challenge on Saturday 15th June 2019. They set out to raise ยฃ500 and managed to smash their target, raising a phenomenal 912% of their original goal!
Team Maggie
โWe are delighted to have raised such a fantastic amount for Kilbryde Hospice and are overwhelmed at the support received from everyone who donated. The care and compassion shown by Kilbryde Hospice, not just to Maggie, but to her family and friends who were visiting was outstanding and we cannot thank the hospice enough. The service they provide is second to none and we feel very lucky that this service is available locally.
Mum was loved so much by all her family and friends and is greatly missed. She was also a well-known teacher in East Kilbride and spent many years teaching in St Vincentโs Primary and St Leonardโs Primary as a deputy head teacher, before moving to St Ninianโs Primary to be the head teacher. We know she inspired many people throughout the years and will not be forgotten.โ
