Trio raise £1300 completing West Highland Way in memory of Patricia Taylor

24 August, 2017
We would like to say a HUGE thank you to Chris Rae, Jason Gray and Gary Dickson who recently took on the challenge of the West Highland Way to raise funds for Kilbryde Hospice!
Chris, Jason and Gary managed to raise an AMAZING £1300 – a huge £1100 over their original target!
The trio completed the trek last month and managed to complete the 96 miles in under a week – but managed to almost double their mileage walking off course for some well earned pub grub! To make the trek even more challenging, they camped each night after their gruelling day of walking.
The boys decided to take on the West Highland Way after Chris’s mum, Patricia Taylor – who used our services along with her family – sadly passed away earlier this year.
Chris commented: “We would like to thank everyone who donated on behalf of Patricia Taylor, who believed in the kind work the people at Kilbryde hospice are doing. She would have been overjoyed with all the love and support for them. Thank you.”
Very well done, and thank you so much to Chris, Jason and Gary. We would also like to extend our thanks to everybody who sponsored the boys – your support is greatly appreciated here at Kilbryde Hospice and we are sure it went a long way in helping the trio over the finish line!
