We are delighted to be able to share with you today the great news that our very own Volunteer Chaplain Agnes Tait has be nominated to welcome the Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland 2018.

The general assembly is an annual event for the Church of Scotland, where all matters pertaining to the Church and the way it operates is discussed at length, and decisions are made, many ministers, diaconate members, elders and lay people attend this event which runs all week.
The key role of Monday morning is the induction of the new Moderator who will be the church’s representative for the year, this year it is the Rev Susan Brown.

Agnes will greet the Lord High Commissioner ‘The Duke of Buccleuch and Queensberry’ among 12 other lucky nominees, on Wednesday, she will be on the stairs of the Assembly Rooms to greet him as he represents the Queen at this years assembly.
