Drop In aims to support anyone with a life –limiting illness, their carers and relatives.
We offer open sessions Monday to Friday 1000-1600. You don’t need to be referred by your doctor or a health care professional. You don’t even need to let us know in advance. All you need to do is Drop In during these hours. You will be given a warm welcome by our experienced staff and volunteers. If you require further support then we will discuss with you how we can support you and your carer. People attending Drop In are welcome to make use of the Kilbryde Kafe during their visit.
Kilbryde Kafe is open Monday to Friday 10am to 3pm. Why not pop in for a delicious bite to eat and top it off with a slice of cake.
Our Kafe is in our Drop In area and you will be greeted with a warm welcome by our experienced staff and volunteers.
Join our trained volunteers for fresh air and exercise with others in similar situations as yourself. Kilbryde Hospice’s Walking Group welcomes patients (and their carers) with a life-limiting illness.
An excellent opportunity for carers to meet for a cuppa at Kilbryde and share experiences, worries and ideas. It is a short break from caring and offers an opportunity to talk to others in a similar situation.
Are you good at crafting? Join our friendly experience crafters, in a relaxed atmosphere, have a brew, a chat and get crafting to raise funds for Kilbryde.
Kilbryde Crafters meet every Monday 14:00 - 17:00 in the hospice.
Our crafters create beautiful handmade gifts which we sell to raise vital funds for the Kilbryde Hospice. We have stalls at our fayres and crafts can be purchased from all 3 of our charity shops.
Tai Chi involves gently generating and feeling the energy through movement. The slow, controlled nature of the practice means the entire body is worked safely and effectively. Tai chi is also very much a mindful activity which helps with attention, focus, and memory as well as having a wonderful calming effect on our often very over active minds!
Kilbryde Community Choir
Join us on every Wednesday from 1330 - 1430 in Drop In at Kilbryde Hospice to sing with the Kilbryde Community Choir.
The choir is open to everybody and no experience is necessary. Run by our music therapist Anna Ludwig, weekly sessions include fun physical and vocal warm-ups, incorporating breathing exercises and vocal and relaxation techniques.
