Harvest Celebrations at Kilbryde Hospice

20 October, 2016

Yesterday, we held our harvest celebrations within our Sanctury here at Kilbryde Hospice. The celebration was lead by one of our volunteer Chaplains, Agnes Tait, and was well attended by patients, volunteers and staff.

We considered how we need the whole world to feed us, and looked at the various things that we use for our meals throughout the day and where the components from these meals come from in the world. It was discussed how the poorest countries in the world provide us with our staple diet, so they share the little that they have with us who have so much.

We were lucky to have a fantastic centre piece of a fruit display in a handmade basket, which was made for Agnes by the youth choir in Malawi when she worked there.

Thank you Agnes for a very humbling and thought provoking afternoon!
