Meet our new mascot, Hope!

5 December, 2016

If you came along to our Christmas Fayre and Light Switch On on Friday, you would have noticed that we had a very special guest join us for our Light Switch On.

We are now delighted to introduce everybody to our lovely new hospice mascot, Hope!

A little while ago we invited school children to take part in our competition to suggest a name for our mascot, as she arrived at the hospice without a name.

We received some fantastic entries, and we were delighted to invite competition winner Tegan up to the hospice to help Hope to switch on our Christmas lights, after she made the lovely name suggestion.

Our runners up were –

Kieron, who suggested ‘Nutasha’
Alex, who suggested ‘Peanuts’
Mollie, who suggested ‘Killy Bride’

And we were so pleased that Kieron and Alex were able to join us on Friday to meet Hope too!
