West Highland Way – Day 4

24 September, 2018

Day 4 and again not much sleep for the team as no matter how exhausted we get each day we are all still struggling with the shut eye. A quick cuppa and tidy up at the bunkhouse then instantly enjoying the the uphill section of the walk after we left the Bridge of Orchy. Last bit of civilisation was the inveroran hotel before walking into Rannoch Moor, a truly beautiful and empty landscape. This was a walk of a few hours, broken only by the occasional fell runner (maybe next year).
Down past the Glencoe ski centre to the King’s House and then along to the devil’s staircase. Up and over (not as easy as it sounds) then a fair slog into Kinlochleven.

The journey at this point has proven the fair challenge that we all expected however Scotland doesn’t always make it easy for you.
