Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care Team
Our chaplains and spiritual care volunteers support people of all faiths and none, and are here to support patients, carers and families, as well as staff and volunteers. In these unprecedented times we find ourselves in, many of us are asking deep and meaningful questions, and the chaplains are here to support you explore these questions and help seek answers that bring you some peace.
We have a Sanctuary, on the first floor, which is available for everyone to use. Some people may like to spend time there to pray but for others it’s an oasis of calm at a difficult time in their life.
For those wishing to receive Holy Communion or a Sacrament of their own faith community, we will be happy to make these arrangements for you.
We are a non-judgemental, supportive listening service for everyone, and are available to all on request.
We can support you through making arrangement for funerals, and can conduct wedding and baptisms at short notice if required.

“My husband has since passed away and the chaplain did a lovely job of conducting the service”.
“The staff in general at the hospice were supportive without being intrusive and for this. I will be eternally grateful. I also feel that the chaplaincy service is an essential part of the hospice structure”.
