The Spiritual Care team are here to support patients, carers, families, staff and volunteers.
At times of crisis people often find themselves questioning long held beliefs and find it helpful to spend time with a member of our team. Serious illness can often make us all ask deep questions about what’s happening to us and we’re to help with that.
We have a Sanctuary room which everyone is able to use. Some folks like to spend time there to pray but for others it’s an oasis of calm at a difficult time in their life.
For those wishing to receive Holy Communion or a Sacrament of their own faith community, we will be happy to make arrangements.
So whether you consider yourself religious or not we are here to help and support you in whatever way we can.

“My husband has since passed away and Catherine did a lovely job of conducting the service”.
“The staff in general at the hospice were supportive without being intrusive and for this. I will be eternally grateful. I also feel that the chaplaincy service is an essential part of the hospice structure”.
